When you first become a parent, your home is just like Dorothy’s house in the Wizard of Oz..  It is suddenly picked up by a tornado and spun around in a dizzying mess.  It’s scary.  

But, after a few weeks the tornado abates and the house lands.   Don’t ask me how.. but it lands intact and in a world less grey.  And, your fear has not been destroyed but it has been squashed enough so that you can barely see its stockinged feet.
